Phineas and Ferb
"There's one hundred and four days of summer vacation, and school comes along just to end it.
So the annual problem for our generation is finding a good way to spend it!"
My new favorite thing is Phineas and Ferb.
It's on Disney XD and it's fantastic. It has a formula, Phineas and Ferb decide what to do that day. Phineas says "Hey, where's Perry?" their pet Platypus Perry puts on a hat becomes a secret agent and goes to see his boss. He's told to foil the latest plan of the evil Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz.
Phineas and Ferb build something amazing while their sister Candace tells on them to their mother.
Just before the mother sees what the boys have done Perry and Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz accidentally cause the thing Phineas and Ferb made to disappear.
Funny.
Well written, witty, clever. but the more you watch the better it gets, due to the formula.
One of the central tenants of comedy is repetition. You see something funny, you get to know it. See it again it's familliar. You start to know when to laugh. Then it gets even funnier when they start to depart from the formula.
The wrong character says "Hey Phineas, whatya doin?" and you're laughin'
Perry fails turn up at Dr. Doofenshmirtz House and so a plant(?) has to step in.
Every one's so likable too even the bully has his charm.
You need to see 3 episodes after that you're hooked.
In the episode in the link at the top of the post Candace nearly realises she's in an animated sitcom.

Disappointed
Borders going bust has led to mixed blessings for me.
Having read "The Story of O" I was supper keen on reading the sequel "the story of O 2" and managed to pickup a copy from Borders 20 percent off!
I found "The story of O 2" disappointing to say the least.
I seems The story of O 2 is that it used to be known as "The Millennium Dome" originally built on scrap ground in London's Docklands to house "The Millennium experience"!
I can't really tell you much more as I have lost interest.
