Progress

I feel as though my recent malaise is over.
I've started sketching/writing out more stuff.
Tenish pages actually.
Strangely there is almost no comedy there yet, but it feels fine. There's a plotty thing with a couple of turns, and a nice pace. It feels as though if I tried to shoehorn some jokes in they would feel shoehorned in.
Also it feels like it might be coming to an end. (the Cumly Bay thing) If I were to view it as the story of Arthur then it's probably got another 30 or 40 pages in it. I'm thinking I might try and get it all done before putting it up there.

It's been weird making it up as I go along.

Oh and the book might be out in about a month.

Where does the time go?

I do this thing in my spare time.
There doesn't seem to be any of that anymore.
Maybe it's the holidays. (For those of you who aren't in England, it's the summer holidays for schools now. 7 weeks! I'm sure it used to be 6.
Legoland was last weekend. This weekend's been swallowed up by loads of different stuff.
Right now all I could give you is one extra page to the last part of Cumly bay. That was, like 9ish days ago or something!

Maybe it is just the holidays. Maybe once they're over normal service will be resumed.
Maybe not. The holidays don't apply to me do they? I'm still at work.
I am trying to do a bit more parenting when I am at home, to take the pressure off the wife. (She has to be entertainments manager to the kids all day)
And I've been feeling tired recently, any 5 minutes I get to myself I spend zapped out on the couch. And I've stopped sketching stuff out in the van on the way to work.
I don't know if that's conected to anything.

I'm going to leave the "Bay" thing for a while, rather than putting a new page up every 9 or 10 days.
You may get a little toon like this whenever I can get my ass of the couch.

I saw a kids mag on the supermarket shelf called "Dinomite". It's about Dinosaurs.
I still think dinosaurs are really cool. (what could be cooler? erm... robot dinosaurs?)
Anyway, It's only got one comic strip in it so I thought they might want another.
I took the time to do one.
Properly drew one, and sketched out six more. (pirate dinosaurs, Dinosaur knights, and so on.)
I sent it to them... Haven't heard back yet. There's never any way to tell that it got there or what.
Humm.
