So what am I?

So what is this blog?
Is it web c0mic?
A funny webcomic?
That last one wasn't that funny was it.
And sometimes There's no comic at all. Just me bitching and moaning.

Is it just me, or when you put the word "web" in front of it, does that make it sound crap?

"I draw comics."
"Really! How interesting, What kind?"
"Web comics."

To me, it means the reverse.

Maybe things are better on your side of the pond, but here in the U.S., newspaper syndication is a fairly ironclad guarantee that a comic has had every last trace of originality bleached, stamped, and beaten out of it.

As far as I'm concerned, webcomics are the only comics worth reading, because they're where all of the actual innovation is going on.

(If you think that's sad, don't even get me started on independent weblogs versus what passes for journalism around here...)

Not "web comics". You post your comics on the web.

I suggest you watch this cartoon about webcomics.
And in my opinion, no, these aren't webcomics. I somewhat agree with what dan has said about syndicated comics here in the U.S.; almost no originality. It's all mostly repeated gags. Keep it up, Spleenal, these are gold.

I like it.

Whatever it is.

Not necessarily.

I've found some of the most creative & funny people on the web.

Your creations are distinctly original and I think there is a chance for universal appeal of all things Spleenal, just as soon as your fans can get the word out.

Embrace your bitching and moaning, it's part of who Spleenal is, whether it's you or a persona. Just don't let the bastards get you down.

I, too, have been known to bitch and moan on occastion, and one day, I just got up and said "So what? Everyone else will just have to deal with it. Daft bastards."

Keep up the great work - comic, webcomic, brainfarts, doodles, call it what you will, it's still brilliant.

Every job description is better with "web" as a prefix. Just like adding "in bed" to the end of fortune cookie, er, fortunes.

I'm a janitor... on the web!

Yah Spleenal,

keep it up, forget definition,
... and turn up the spanking dial!

I pretty much only read comic strips (not to be confused with "comic books" per se - superhero stuff, etc) online (with one exception only).

for now I'd call it a "comic blog"
